Tresor Kandol, the 6ft 2" tall striker, signed from Dagenham and Redbridge in a £50,000 deal during the January transfer window. The Bees pipped League 2 rivals Leyton Orient for 24-year-old Kandol, who was on loan at Darlington from November until January. Kandol started his career at Luton Town in 1998, before joining Cambridge United briefly on a free transfer in 2001. He joined Luton by chance when he accompanied a friend to Kennilworth Road for a trial. When a player was injured in a training game Kandol was asked to fill in. In the event, he was taken on but his friend, who lives in the same road, was rejected. After Cambridge, Kandol joined Bournemouth as a non-contract player. His two seasons with the Essex club saw him among the goals - 85 in 110 games - and he joined Dagenham and Redbridge last May.
