Max Porter signed for the Bees in the summer of 2007 for an undisclosed fee from Bishop's Stortford. Described as a goalscoring midfielder, the 19-year-old won both the Supporter's and Player's player of the season for the Woodside Park side. Max had previously played for Southend United and joined Cambridge United on loan before signing permanently. He turned down offers from two other League Two clubs to join the Bees. He has already shown his versatility as a player by filling in well at right back when called upon. His ambition this season is to become a first team regular.
