Lee was born in Billericay and is in his second spell with the Bees. He originally signed from Fulham in July 1996 and was the clubs longest serving player until he left to join Leyton Orient in 2003 before signing for Peterborough two years later. When Lee left Posh in the summer of 2006 manager Paul Fairclough reacted quickly to bring Lee back to Underhill where he also helps out with the coaching. Lee ranks amongst the most highly rated players in the club's history, winning the 'Player of the Year' award in three successive years. In the 2007/2008 season, Lee was appointed club captain and is ever popular amongst supporters. He went past the milestone of 300 first team appearances for Barnet early in this season.
