The excitement is mounting as the Prediction League 2007/8 competition goes right to the wire and the very last game of the season. 9 players can mathematically still win the superb trophy which is being hand crafted as we speak. It is just waiting for my instructions for the wording on the plaque.

As you are aware it is a beautiful imitation platinum, nearly silver-plated decorated trophy on a solid marble substitute base with a fools gold plated inlay and would grace any mantelpiece.

We have joint leaders- 45 Years A Bee and Figgy Bee on 221 points but only 5 points separate the top 5 players. Monsieur A is second on 218 with Marcus Bee third on 217. Wisey is fourth on 216 with Durlston fifth on 213. Forensic Bloo holds sixth spot with 211 with Do the Twist seventh on 209 and Old Time Bee eighth on 203.

I was most generous with the attendance points giving a much wider target but only Diane Barnet, myself, Monsieur A, Forensic Bloo, MK Barnet Boy and Fairy Bee got to within 100.
