Barnet let a two goal lead for the second successive home game in a row after leading 3-1 but could only draw with MK Dons at Underhill on Saturday.

The Bees made just one change to the starting line-up following Tuesday's 1-1 draw away to Peterborough United with Ian Hendon returning as captain at right back in place of Joe Devera.

The Bees started the game brightly and Andy Hessenthaler had an early strike on goal after just 31 seconds but it went wide of Adolfo Baines' right hand post.

Both sides continued to battle it out in the midfield in a frantic start to the game but the Dons were having the greater possession and Izale McLeod saw an effort go wide in the 12th minute.

Lloyd Dyer then saw his strike easily held by Lee Harrison two minutes later whilst straight down the other end Tresor Kandol saw his strike go just wide on the angle when well placed 15 yards out from goal.

The game began to spring to life after a tense start and the away side were close to taking the lead in the 19th minute when a misplaced header by Hendon landed an McLeod's feet in penalty area but from eight yards out Harrison twice blocked his strikes at goal with Simon King there to clear the danger after the Bees keepers second save.

A minute later and the Bees came close to breaking the deadlock when Liam Hatch saw his strike from 25 yards well held by the Dons keeper.

With 37 minutes on the clock, the Bees were awarded a penalty kick when Kandol was dragged down to the ground, following a Bailey free kick, by the Dons striker McLeod and up stepped Hendon to power home his penalty into the top right hand corner of the net.

Three minutes later and the Dons saw an effort cleared off of the line when a corner by Dean Lewington was flicked on at the near post by Sean O'Hanlon and, with the effort heading for the back of the net, Hatch was there to head the ball off of the line and away for a corner kick.

From the resulting set piece, King headed the ball away before a Dons player was fouled and Lewington stepped up to see his 25 yard left footed free kick tipped over the crossbar. The Bees dealt with the resulting corner, but the ball came back into the box by Lewington, Wilbraham headed the ball across goal and O'Hanlon was there to place his effort past Harrison from five yards to send the Dons in level at the half time interval.

Both sides began the second half at a high tempo with Graham and Diallo, for the Bees and the Dons respectively, looking to create chances for their respective sides.

In the 52nd minute the Bees were to take the lead with the best move of the game. Sinclair received the ball 25 yards out before playing a pinpoint pass to Kandol, who from 15 yards out, made no mistake sliding his effort past the despairing dive of Baines in the Dons goal.

Four minutes later and the Bees were to get their third goal when a fine long ball forward by Bailey caught out the Dons back four and Kandol knocked the ball past keeper Baines, before pulling the ball back to Graham who finished superbly past the retreating Dons keeper to send the Bees fans and management into a state of delirium.

A minute later and the Bees twice came close to adding a fourth when Kandol struck a 20 yard volley just over the cross bar, before Dean Sinclair, from a Hatch pass, saw his left footed effort tipped round a post by Baines.

The Dons, not letting their heads drop, then saw a McLeod effort well blocked by King for a corner kick before Clive Platt missed a great chance to reduce the away sides deficit when he shot over from eight yards out when finding himself in a one-on-one position with Harrison.

The Dons were handed a lifeline back into the game when Ben Chorley coverted a penalty in the 68th minute when Hendon was adjudged to have dragged Aarron Wilbraham down.

Kandol then had a header ruled out for offside two minutes later before Bailey saw his 25 yard free kick go over the crossbar in the 74th minute as the Bees looked to kill the game off.

At the other end, Lewington saw his 25 yard free kick hit the wall in the final minute before the Dons were to equalise just seconds later when Dyer broke into the box and saw his effort, after Harrison blocked Platt's initial shot, find the back of the net to send the Bees fans into a state of shock.

In the second minute of injury time the Dons could of won the game when John Paul McGovern's chipped effort was tipped over the crossbar by Harrison in what turned out to be the final action of the afternoon.
