Evergreen club captain Lee Harrison stands by for his third successive first day of the season start since returning to Barnet in 2006 as a goalkeeping coach and mentor to Ross Flitney and later Rob Beckwith.

Although Beckwith is fit after his groin strain problem, he has only had one day's training this week in the run-up to the opening game against Chesterfield at Underhill.

Paul Fairclough has signed 19-year-old former PROTEC keeper Phil Carpenter as cover for Beckwith and Harrison. The 6ft 2ins tall youngster will play for Witney.

Another youngster to join the Fairclough stable is 17-year-old Turkish midfielder Aryan Taj (full name: Tajbakhsh), who played AGAINST the Bees for Northwood but FOR the Bees as a trialist against Wingate and Finchley. He also came on to replace Kieron St Aimie in the 4-2 win at Harrow Borough.

Apart from Elliott Charles, who has had a right hamstring injury and hopes to resume training next week, physiotherapist Mark Stein reports a clean bill of health among the squad.

NOTE: The Pavilion will be open to home supporters before and after tomorrow's game - but not at half time.
