WORLD CUP TRIALIST TO FACE GUNNERS
Posted on: Mon 21 Jul 2008
Trialist Justin Cochrane, a 26-year-old midfielder who played in World Cup qualifying games for Antigua and Barbuda last month, will be part of Paul Fairclough's squad for the visit of Arsenal tomorrow.
The former QPR trainee, who played for League 1 clubs Yeovil Town and Millwall, briefly, last season, featured in the second half of Tuesday's friendly at St Albans City.
He has played for Hayes, Crewe Alexandra - 72 games between 2003-06, - Gillingham (on loan) and Rotherham United.
Cochrane and PROTEC defender Daniel Alowisi are the only two of the six trialists who played at St Albans involved against the Gunners, although the Bees maintain an interest in 20-year-old former Crystal Palace left sided player Ryan Hall, who scored a spectacular matchwinning goal at Clarence Park before going off with a tweaked medial ligament injury.
