CELEBRATING KEN'S LIFE
Posted on: Tue 08 Jul 2008
A celebration of the life of Ken Reynolds, the former assistant groundsman at Barnet FC for years was held at New Southgate Crematorium on Friday.
Ken died last week at the age of 76, four years after first being diagnosed with cancer, and the Rev Peter Liddelow, who conducted the service paid tribute to Ken as a family man over more than 50 years of marriage - he had great grandchildren, -his love of gardening and his help with the pitch at Underhill. Ken leaves a widow, Connie, who he met when she went to buy a doughnut from the Reynolds family bakery business when they were teenagers.
Both Barnet FC and Barnet FC Supporters Association sent floral tributes and Dennis Signy represented chairman Tony Kleanthous and all at the club in the crowded, standing room only, chapel, a tribute to Ken's popularity.
