Paul Fairclough, who recently celebrated his fourth anniversary at Underhill, will continue as Barnet's manager next season.

Confirming this, club spokesman Dennis Signy said: "There is a good working relationship between chairman Tony Kleanthous and the manager and, as indicated at a recent fans' forum, the status quo is set to continue.

"There is no doubt that the 'Dream Team' of Paul and assistant Ian Hendon, both wholeheartedly committed to the Barnet cause, has provided more plusses than minuses.

"Paul has recently indicated that he intends to announce his retained list next week and he has also indicated that he plans to bring in three, maybe four, players, to the squad

Fairclough is currently among the longest serving League managers. In his time at Underhill the Bees have reached the Conference play-off semi - finals, regained their place in the Football League, twice reached the fourth round of the FA Cup for the only time in the club's long history, consolidated as a League 2 side and brought in exciting young players such as Jason Puncheon, Albert Adomah, Kenny Gillet and so on.

The message from the chairman this week was that Barnet wanted to hold on to their best players and "have a go" for a top place finish next season.

No other details have been announced but Barnet FC wanted to end all speculation and let supporters to know before the last home game of the season that Paul Fairclough stays at the helm.
