SAGI TO MISS STAGS MATCH
Posted on: Sun 06 Apr 2008
Sagi Burton, Barnet's experienced 31-year-old central defender, looks set to miss out on Saturday's Coca-Cola League 2 visit to Mansfield Town with a twisted knee.
Burton, vice captain of the side in the absence of skipper Ismail Yakubu, injured the knee in the 0-0 draw against Darlington on Tuesday.
Joe Devera, Burton's 21-year-old partner in central defence, has been treated for a tight hamstring, but physiotherapist Mark Stein is hopeful that he should be clear to play at Mansfield.
With Kenny Gillet out with a left groin problem and Yakubu seeing a consultant on Thursday evening to discuss the way forward with the groin problems that have been persistent lately, manager Paul Fairclough faces selection problems for the game against a Mansfield side battling against relegation.
