Kenny Gillet has been ruled out of contention for Tuesday's home Coca-Cola League 2 game against promotion-chasing Darlington.

The 22-year -old French left back has a left groin problem and the initial fears were that he could be out of action for the rest of the season. An assessment by physiotherapist Mark Stein at the training ground on Monday - with Gillet saying that he felt much better after the weekend - was that a three-week lay-off was more likely.

Skipper Ismail Yakubu, who has groin problems and has been nursed in recent weeks, is also doubtful. Stein plans to take the 22 - year-old central defender to a consultant this week to work out a full recovery plan.

Jordan Parkes, the 18-year-old full back on loan from Watford, is likely to return against Darlington. When Paul Fairclough brought him in for a month, he said he did so because defenders Gillet, Yakubu and Sagi Burton needed careful monitoring after injuries.

After successive League wins at Underhill against Chester City, Lincoln City and Wrexham - 11 goals scored against five conceded - the Bees have reached 48 points and, with games in hand, have virtually eased any relegation worries.

Manager Paul Fairclough is hoping that it's horses-for-courses ... the Bees have won the last six times at Underhill against tomorrow's opponents.
