INTERNATIONAL DAY FIXTURE DETAILS
FCBFCSA hope to return to winning ways against an International Supporters XI on Saturday.
The match kicks off at 11am Barnet playing fields, refereed by Mikel Bee, assisted by Daniel Pennington, and Christopher Nash. It sees John 'Mourinho' Adkins manage a side composed of players from Greece, Italy, Brazil, Norway, Sweden, Holland, Sri Lanka, Wales, Poland, and Belgium.
The international day has been organised by the supporters association as part of our Underhill centenary year to celebrate the growing band of overseas supporters to swear allegiance to Barnet FC.
Famously a lad from Japan Ken , travelled over for the Old Trafford game. Barnet also have a strong fan base in Norway, who held regular supporters tournaments in the 90s. Tor who is playing in Saturday's game played in goal for Barnet's Norwegian side forcing future Norway International goalkeeper Thomas Myhre to play up front. Barnet also has a supporter base in Canada, Australia, Sweden, Italy, Holland, Belgium, and Brazil.
How do these supporters choose Barnet? Sometimes it is from staying in London, and studying nearby. Others were attracted by a struggling side, supporting the underdog. The Australians were taken by a colleague, and fell in love with the enigmatic Liam Hatch. Others randomly picked the side on Championship Manager. Some have family in Barnet.
Some of the supporters have become Barnet supporters by forging friendships with our international ambassadors. Christopher Nash, leads a band of Barnet supporters who are lovers of German football, and have allegiances with St Pauli, and Bochum.
Our Italian fan base have fallen in love with Barnet due to the charm of Guiliano Grazioli, and a visit from Barnet supporters to cheer on Paul Fairclough's England C side in Ivrea. John Adkins has cemented this bond with regular visits to Italy.
The best gentleman to speak to on this matter would be John Adkins aka Village who is organising the visitors, and the day in his role as Barnet's Overseas Liaison officer. His telephone number is 07941698240. He is researching all of the games Barnet played against overseas opposition for the programme notes on Saturday.
Events commence on Saturday at 11am with a match between the Barnet Supporters team FCBFCSA, and an international supporters 11. This is being played on Barnet Playing Fields.
The pitch can be located on the following website http://www.fcbfcsa.co.uk/page5.htm
This will be followed by a spot of lunch and there is a possibility of a half time penalty competition between the two sides on the hallowed Underhill turf. This is to be confirmed.

Barnet is a multi-cultural area of London, and it is hoped publicity surrounding this game may attract supporters in the area, from all ethnic, and international backgrounds.
All visitors are guaranteed a warm welcome from the Barnet family, the friendliest club in London.
