Cliff Akurang, who has hit form with five goals in five games, has been ruled out for "the foreseeable future" after collecting a hamstring injury in training.

Estimates for a return for the 27-year-old transfer window signing from Blue Square Premier side Histon range from three weeks upwards.

Akurang, thrown in at the deep end as a lone striker in a 4-5-1 formation, is 6ft 2ins tall and has added much needed height in the opposition penalty area. He scored the Bees' first-ever goal at Grimsby since returning to the Football League with a towering header ... and he also used his aerial threat to score from a pinpoint Anthony Thomas cross against Chester City.
