Eighteen year old Watford full-back Jordan Parkes has joined Barnet on a month long loan.
The 6ft left footed defender, who was recently on loan at Brentford, will be available for Barnet's match against Chester City tomorrow afternoon.
Jordan is an England U18 international and has made two Carling Cup appearances for the Hornets and one appearance when on loan at Brentford earlier this season.
Watford have the option to extend his loan deal through until the end of the current campaign.
The thinking behind the loan transfer was explained by Paul Fairclough: "At the moment we have several defenders whose injuries need careful managing and monitoring and I was delighted to secure the services of Jordan.
It is a great bonus that he can play in both full back positions and he will be involved in our game against Chester this Saturday."
As for other loan transfer targets the Bees boss added, "I have been in discussions with many clubs this week, notably Glenn Roeder at Norwich and Liam Brady at Arsenal.
Liam feels that the young striker I have my eye on there needs to get a few more games under his belt just right now, but we are keeping a close eye on that one and quite a few others."
