The Ladies celebrate winning the title

Champions, champions!

Two second half goals from ace scorer Stacey Sowden away to third placed Northampton Town gave Barnet FC Ladies the South East Combination championship title and promotion back into the FA Women's Premier League on Easter Sunday afternoon with one League game still to play.

That's an incredible 46 goals in 26 appearances for Stacey, who could be on target for a half century of goals. Next for the Bees is the first of two cup finals. The County Senior Cup against Enfield Town to be played at 12 noon next Sunday April 23 at Uxbridge FC and then they play fourth-placed Colchester United away in their final League game on April 30, followed by the League Cup Final against Northampton Town on Sunday May 7 at Bedford Town FC.

Dennis Signy, PR consultant to the Barnet board, said: "Chairman Tony Kleanthous and everyone at Underhill sends congratulations to the ladies on a magnificent season ... with more to come perhaps".
