Stacey Sowden, Barnet Ladies' prolific scorer, took her season's tally to an amazing 44 goals in only 24 appearances with the first half match winner against second placed Ipswich Town at Hanwell Town on Sunday.

 

The 1-0 win edged the ladies nearer the South East Combination title and a place in the FA Womens Premier League - mathematically, they need one point from their last two games. But, with a goal difference of 20-plus better than the only team that can pip them for the title, it is very much in Barnet's own hands.

 

Next up is another crunch game, away to Northampton Town, who took over from Ipswich in second place on Sunday after beating Enfield Town 2-1 and are six points behind the Bees. Barnet's last game is also away, against fifth placed Colchester United.
