Cherrelle Brown - Forward - Age 18 - 4 Apps

Cherrelle is a forward with lightning pace who joined Barnet prior to the 2003/04 season.  She was thrown in at the deep end, making her first team debut at the start of last season, but spent most of last term improving her game in the reserves.

 

Cerrie Byrne - Defender - Age 19 - 19 Apps

Cerrie is a tough tackling defender, equally at home at left back or in more central role.  An excellent reader of the game, Cerrie has also been used to great effect in midfield.  A student at St. Mary's University, Cerrie has playing experience both in her native Ireland and in Australia.  Last season she gained representative honours for Middlesex.

 

Amanda Clothier - Defender - Age 23 - 136 Apps

Amanda is Barnet's longest serving player having joined the club in 1997 and made her debut in the FA Women's Premier League National Division during the 1997/98 season. A left back whose game has improved further in recent years with the added responsibility of the club captaincy.  Amanda was the club's player of the Season in 2002 and has earned representative honours for Middlesex County FA.

 

Alysha Cole - Goalkeeper - Age 16 - 0 Apps

Alysha originally represented Barnet as a young player in the club's junior sides.  However, she left the club to play for Denham United, returning to Barnet this summer, having developed into a fine young goalkeeper.  Alysha will be an excellent deputy for Jess Devoti this season.

 

Beth Curtis - Midfield - Age 22 - 31 Apps, 6 Goals

Beth is an exciting midfield player who has made spectacular progress since joining Barnet from Bedfont in 2002.  She capped an excellent season last term by being voted First Team Players' Player of the Year.  Beth has scored some spectacular goals for the club and her ability to read the game has allowed her to be used in a central defensive role.  Beth has gained representative honours for Middlesex and has spent the summer playing in Australia.

 

Jess Devoti - Goalkeeper - Age 18 - 17 Apps

Jess rejoined Barnet last season from Denham United having previously represented the Bees during the 2000/01 season.  In the intervening years Jess has worked hard at her game and has returned to the club as a brave and accomplished goalkeeper.  Jess's talent has been rewarded with selection for the Middlesex County FA Representative Team.

 

Nadine Gannon - Midfield - Age 20 - 0 Apps

Nadine joined Barnet in the close season from Haringey Borough and has already shown signs that she will be a great asset to the club in the forthcoming season.  Nadine has also formerly played for Queens Park Rangers.


 

 

Hannah Grover - Defender - Age 15 - 12 Apps

Hannah is a versatile you player who enjoyed an excellent first season in open age women's football last term.  Primarily a central defender, Hannah has also been used as a forward and is a highly competent goalkeeper.  She has progressed to open age football via Farnborough Town, Aldershot Town and the Reading FC Centre of Excellence.

 

Charlotte Herson - Defender - Age 18 - 44 Apps

Charlotte's return to fitness after a long absence through injury is a great boost to the club.  A highly accomplished defender, Charlotte made her debut for Barnet during the 2000/01 season having progressed through the club's junior teams.  Her form immediately propelled her into the England Under-16 squad.  Charlotte has gained representative honours for Middlesex County FA.

 

Madeleine Hills - Forward - Age 15 - 0 Apps

Madeleine originally played in Barnet's Youth Teams as an 11-year-old.  She returned to the club last summer and was a regular member of the club's reserve team throughout last season. A strong forward, Madeleine weighed in with her fair share of goals for the club's second string last term.

 

Kelly Hughes - Forward - Age 15 - 0 Apps

Kelly is an outstanding young forward who joined Barnet during the close season.  Kelly previously played for Stevenage Borough and attends the Arsenal FC Centre of Excellence. An excellent prospect for the future.

 

Hayley Johnson - Midfield - Age 16 - 24 Apps

Hayley joined Barnet early last season from Queens Park rangers and made an immediate impact when thrust into early first team action due to an injury crisis.  She spent most of last season in a central defensive role, but was later selected to play in her preferred midfield role, where she gave some assured displays.

 

Kerry Jones - Midfield - Age 15 - 8 Apps

Kerry was last season's Reserve Team Player of the Year.  She originally joined the Barnet Youth set-up as a 9-year-old before playing for Aldershot Town and attending the Reading FC Centre of Excellence.  Kerry is a midfield player who has always acquitted herself well when selected for first team duty.  Kerry will be looking to make the breakthrough to the first team this season.

 

Jade Kite - Forward - Age 14 - 0 Apps

Jade is another outstanding prospect who has been waiting patiently for a chance to play open-age football.  Jade played in Barnet's Youth Teams and has scored goals in whatever side she has played in.  Jade has an excellent temperament and will take the step up to women's football in her stride.

 

Charlotte Longuehaye - Midfield - Age 16 - 25 Apps, 3 Goals

Charley joined Barnet last season from Watford and was rewarded for an excellent first season in Open-Age Women's Football by being selected as the Club's Player of the Year.  A midfield player who is strong in the tackle and outstanding in the air, Charlotte has gained representative honours in both Middlesex and Hertfordshire.


Donna McGuigan - Midfield - Age 16 - 0 Apps

Donna was signed in the summer, having previously played for Watford.  Another of the crop of outstanding youngsters at the club, Donna is a skilful attacking midfield player.  Donna won a Middlesex Cup winners' medal with her previous club last season.

 

Kerry O'Connor - Forward - Age 18 - 49 Apps, 10 Goals

Kerry was a product of the Barnet youth system before leaving the club to join Chelsea at the end of the 2000/01 season, shortly after breaking into the first team and scoring her first senior goal.  She returned to the Bees' fold during the 2002 close season.  Kerry has been a prolific goalscorer at whatever level she has played and has gained representative honours for Middlesex at Under-16, Under-18 and Senior level.

 

Casey Pearce - Defender - Age 16 - 10 Apps

Casey is a young fullback who joined Barnet from Watford prior to last season.  She had previously represented Arsenal as a Junior.  Casey's outstanding form in the reserve team last season earned her selection for the first team.  She took full advantage of her elevation to the first team, producing some excellent performances before a knee injury brought a premature end to her season.

 

Sophie Reed - Midfield - Age 15 - 0 Apps

Sophie is another Barnet Youth player who returned to the Bees' fold from Hillingdon Borough at the start of last season.  Sophie was a regular member of the Barnet Reserve Team last season, mainly in a full back role, although she did play in midfield and as a forward on occasion.

 

Danielle Richards - Forward - Age 21 - 8 Apps, 2 Goals

Danielle is a skilful forward who joined Barnet from Queens Park Rangers last season.  Unfortunately injury restricted her first team appearances but when she did play, Danielle turned in some excellent performances both up front and in midfield.  She is expected to be a key member of the Barnet team this term.  Danielle is another Barnet player with Middlesex Representative honours.

 

Laura Shackel - Defender - Age 16 - 0 Apps

Laura joined Barnet during last season from Watford.  She spent most of the last campaign in a defensive role in the reserves and showed excellent improvement as the season progressed.  Laura is expected to challenge for a first team place this season.

 

Charlotte Speller - Midfield - Age 14 - 0 Apps

Charlotte has progressed to open age football this season having played for the Princes Park club last term.  Charlotte impressed the Barnet Ladies management at a recent trial and is expected to feature in the Bees' reserve team this season.

 

Hayley Storey - Midfield - Age 15 - 0 Apps

Hayley is a highly promising midfield player who joined the club during the close season and has already impressed with her ability in the pre-season period. Hayley has previously represented Mill Hill United, Belmont United, West Ham United and Edgware Town Ladies. The Barnet management have high hopes that Hayley will be able to make a successful transition to the higher level.

 

Fran Stringer - Defender - Age 25 - 1 App

Fran joined Barnet from Queens Park Rangers last season and gave a number of dependable defensive displays for the reserve team last season.  Fran was given her first team debut in the Middlesex Cup versus Viking in February.

 


Jade Strzelecki - Forward - Age 14 - 0 Apps

Jade is another member of the former Barnet FC Ladies youth set-up who has returned to the club in recent times.  A skilful forward player, Jade has recently been playing for the Princes Park Club.  She will be looking to establish herself in open age football by playing for the Barnet FC Ladies reserve team this season.

 

Ellen Swygart - Defender - Age 16 - 1 App

Ellen joined Barnet with her twin sister Kay last season having played youth football with Arsenal and Watford.  An uncompromising defender, Ellen was a regular in the reserve team last season and was given a first team outing in the Middlesex Cup.

 

Kay Swygart - Defender - Age 16 - 1 App

Just like her sister Kay is a promising young defender with a growing reputation for her strong tackling.  A former Arsenal and Watford Youth Team player, Kay forced her way into the first team reckoning last season, making her debut in a County Cup match against Viking.

 

Jane Thomasson - Midfield - Age 26 - 2 Apps, 1 Goal

Jane captained the Barnet Reserve side last season and played a big part in nurturing the young talent in the second string.  Her consistency was rewarded with the Reserve Team Players' Player of the Year Award.  A cultured midfield player, Jane joined Barnet from Wimbledon at the start of last season having previously played for Newcastle, Sunderland and Hamburg.

 

Maria Ward - Forward - Age 29 - 31 Apps, 10 Goals

Maria was signed from Queen's Park Rangers in November 2001.  An experienced forward with an excellent goal scoring record Maria previously spent two seasons with Arsenal, having arrived in the United Kingdom from her native Romania.  A quick and strong forward, Maria can also be used to great effect in midfield. She has gained representative honours for the Middlesex County FA.

 

Lynsey York - Defender - Age 22 - 3 Apps

Lynsey is a composed defender who forced her way into the first team reckoning at the start of last season, making her FAWPL debut at Merthyr Tydfil in August 2003.  Lynsey also played a big part in encouraging the young talent in the reserve team last season before her playing opportunities were cruelly disrupted by injury.  Lynsey is a student at St. Mary's University.
