Bury 0-0 Barnet
SHAKERS 0 BARNET 0: Luckless Bury stretched their winless streak to six games - but manager Chris Casper was left cursing another goalkeeping injury.
A point apiece was probably a just result on the balance of play, but that will be no consolation to Shakers keeper Craig Dootson who ended the game with a broken arm.
The break, just above the wrist, resulted from a clash with Barnet substitute Jason Norville in the closing minutes.
It was a heartbreaking end for Dootson who had waited all season for a chance to prove himself and he again showed the potential that persuaded former boss Graham Barrow to give him his Football League chance.
He must now sweat on whether he gets a renewed contract as he will not play again this campaign.
"It's a real sickener for Craig, he's had that kind of year," explained Casper.
"We'll have to bring somebody in now because we've only got young Aaron Grundy and, while I've no qualms about playing Aaron, we'll still need a bit of experience."
Both teams had their chances and David Flitcroft drilled a low shot that beat Ross Flitney in the Bees' goal only to cannon off the post.
Early in the second half Speight had a well-taken effort chalked off for offside while, not to be outdone, the visitors had two 'goals' ruled out minutes later when Giuliano Grazioli then Tresor Kangol were frustrated by the assistant's flag.
With seven minutes remaining it appeared Dootson's luck had run out when Kangol powered a stunning free header goalwards but fortunately the effort rattled the crossbar.
