Paul Fairclough was hugely impressed with his Barnet side after they fought back to earn a point against in-form Cheltenham.
The Robins took the lead a minute before the break when skipper John Finnigan headed home a JJ Melligan cross.
However, Barnet earned a point in the 56th minute thanks to Dwane Lee's 30-yard piledriver.
Fairclough said: "We could have won the game in the end because we looked dangerous on the counter-attack.
"I am so proud of the lads because we have had two defeats on the trot in this League and then we have come away with the possibility of a third defeat. For them to respond in the way they did at a difficult venue was magnanimous.
"The whole team has shown character. We have come away to a side that are unbeaten and we have got a very well-deserved point."
Cheltenham manager John Ward was left frustrated.
Ward said: "I thought we started a bit slowly. We wanted to get in their faces, but we picked up the pace and created some chances.
"The team had played really well at Wycombe Wanderers and it was right to let them do it again. They did well and it was a good football match."
